Heya Hilton :) Let me see what's going on with your machine :)

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop. Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When the program opens select the following boxes:

Flush DNS
Report IE Proxy Settings
Reset IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
Reset FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP Configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Please post the log in your next reply :)

I see your hard drive is indicating failure:

Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press Enter.

Code:
sfc /scannow
  • Wait for this to finish before you continue
Copy and paste the following command, press Enter.

Code:
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > %userprofile%\Desktop\sfc.txt

That will create sfc.txt on your Desktop. Please attach sfc.txt to your next post :)

Awesome :) And no worries :)

Can you post a fresh MTB box with the following options checked?

List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Same problem for me on Win 10, I could pair my Bluetooth headphone but they wouldn't connect, this solved it for me so hopefully will also work on a Win 7 machine.
Uninstall the device from device manager and restart bluetooth service.
Start > services.msc
Right-click "Bluetooth Support Service."
Choose Automatic.
Go to device manager and right-click on your computer name and click "Scan for hardware changes"
Install the bluetooth device drivers from the manufacturer's website, if any.

Thanks for the come back..have already done that and a lot of other stuff and everything says it all should work...but just won't connect..jmarket is working with me and says I might have a hard drive problem and that scares me as this computer isn't a year old..

thanks again,
hefs

Can you run the commands again for me @Hilton Heflin? I want to ensure that there's no bad blocks remaining. :)

Also, run the following command too:

Code:
CHKDSK /F

This will ensure any bad blocks fix themselves if possible :) Can you also paste the log for CHKDSK too? This site will help you get the CHKDSK logs and save them. Then you can just Upload the file here :)

I have tried doing everything over several times but will not show up on desk top..I hope we can fix it as I went to Dell support and they want $139.00 to fix it....and at 75 I don't need Bluetooth that bad..
Thanks
hefs
NOTE: here is the sfc that ran last time..if that will help..
