Is the computer a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the CPU, MB, the RAM (including the amount) add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable folk to better help you.

That model was only released last year so first thing that we need to ask, is the computer still under any warranty.

it just goes around on a loop of varying blue screens with different messages telling you what to do non of them work

Can you remember what any of the messages say, these will most likely be recovery environment messages.

cannot access any settings f keys don't work either to access safe mode etc

Hasn't been an option since the end of Windows 7 and since Windows 8 Safe Mode is accessed via the Windows Recovery Environment.

Acer Aspire TC1660 the Blue Screen of Death says Critical Process Died .....I don't think that's good ...

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply as we have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed,, thanks.

See if you are able to force the computer to start in the Windows Recovery Environment (RE) by starting up and shutting down the computer two or three times using the case power button, please note that you need to shut down the computer after the MBs splash screen and just before Windows attempts to load, if successful you should then continue to the Troubleshooting options and then hopefully be able to use Reset this PC, a system restore point or Safe Mode etc.
