Hey folks,
I've tried just about every general suggestion for this error as far as startup repair and /bootrec commands go, but the problem has persisted, so I thought I'd look for some more specific help before I start spending on parts.
As far as timing goes, this error happens pretty much every single time I boot up the computer after it's been powered off for a while. I'll either get to the login screen or a few seconds past that and then I get a blue screen and reboot. After it does that once, I'm actually able to get on with things and the PC runs with relative stability (though I've started to get a few more sporadic blue screens of late). The timing of it makes me think that this is more of a hardware issue, but I'll leave that to the experts.
For reference, I'm running windows 10 from an NVMe boot drive, and I have an additional SATA drive connected for storage.
So, general question: how do I fix this? More specifically:
* Is this likely to persist if I reinstall windows?
* Is there a chance the storage drive is contributing, in which case, should I format that as well?
* Is this potentially a hardware issue?
