I've been experiencing issues with my computer for the past 2 to 3 days. I believe the problems started after I updated to the latest version of Windows (2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5032190)). I've conducted numerous tests like DDU, GPU stress tests (10 mins), CPU stress tests (10 mins), and RAM tests.

Over the past few weeks or even months, my computer has had very few errors, but the recent issues I've observed could possibly be attributed to:

  1. The latest version of Windows.
  2. In the Event Viewer, there is an issue called Kernel Power 41; I'm unsure if it's relevant.
  3. My computer is connected to a UPS of 900w/1500v. It hasn't failed as far as I can tell, but I've noticed something called "BUCKED VOLTAGE" in the events list. Again, I'm not sure if this is relevant.
  4. Possibly issues with my PSU.
Here are my system specifications:

  • CPU: 13600KF 5.3 CORES - 4.1 E-CORES
  • GPU: 7900XTX SAPPHIRE NITRO PLUS
  • MOBO: Z790 ASROCK PG ITX
  • CASE: MESHLICIOUS
  • PSU: CORSAIR 750W PLATINUM
  • COOLER: NZXT 280MM
  • RAM: ADATA XPG 6000 32GB
  • MONITOR: LG ULTRAWIDE 1440P 160HZ - 2ND MONITOR ALIENWARE AT 60HZ
  • 3 cables of 8 pins connected to the GPU
  • My mobo version is 4.03
  • gpu bios version is updated
I've tried various troubleshooting steps, but I'm still encountering issues. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Couple of things wrong there;

The RAM is not appropriate for your CPU, Intel state here up to DDR5 5600MHz and if you have XMP enabled the RAM will get auto OCd past what the CPU can handle and the PC will become unstable.

The PSU is too weak, the specs here say a minimum of 800W so allowing for the additional screen you want at least 850W, no point going for such a PSU as it doesn't cover adding more drives in the future, a 1000W PSU is more appropriate for this build.

In the Event Viewer, there is an issue called Kernel Power 41; I'm unsure if it's relevant.

Means the power supply to the PC was lost.

That is the function of a regulator in the UPS, in this instance the regulation of the difference between the 900 and 1500W.

You are aware that the 900 to 1500W does not mean that you have that available, while a lesser voltage PSU is present.

My computer has been running very well for the last 11 months. The few issues I've had are related to driver problems regarding overclocking, but apart from that, everything has been perfect.

The problem occurs when I play Hell Let Loose. I can play fine for a couple of hours, but the issue arises at the beginning of a match. My screens go black, and my fans seem to remain on at maximum power. Afterward, I have to shut down my computer by pressing the power button.

When I turn it on again, my GPU is disabled in Device Manager, and the AMD Adrenaline program is uninstalled. I have to re-enable it and re-download the drivers, and everything works fine again until I start playing HLL once more.

A while ago, I watched a video on the OptimumTech channel () where they conducted tests on different PSU versions. I'm not saying hes an expert, but I gathered various references and information from different websites, and in the end, they all said that the Corsair 750W Platinum would be enough to power my computer. I might need to look for a 1000W option, its just frustraring that is it failing after a year.

Thank you for your time and information!

Glad you got it sorted and thanks for letting us know how you resolved the issue (y)

You still need an appropriate PSU else you will be having to replace a burned out GPU.
