Please export event logs and upload here. ZIP if necessary. I am not certain how to get to the event viewer in windows 10, but search 'event' should take you there. I am interested in two sets to begin with. Application and System, system being the more important.

chuckle. I logged into the forum to see if you were here. I saw you, but you had not posted anything. That was three hours ago. Apparently, I took a nap. Life is good.

I provided you a poor instruction. For my purposes, I need the unfiltered logs. Please provide the same two reports one more time, but do not apply any filter prior to saving them.

In fact, please clear the logs and then perform a system restart. The Clear Logs command is on the same menu as the Filter Log commend. Do not Save and Clear, just Clear. After clearing, restart. Then go back into Eventvwr and export the same two logs.

My bad.

On your Normal boot
Your workstation is looking for network resources and not finding them.
Go to Admin Tools, Services:
Ensure DHCP Client, Network Location Service and Network List Service
start is set to Automatic

Disable your firewall or set the Firewall svc to disabled.
Ensure Windows Defender svc is set to disabled

Did all above but just the same.
My friend has now been without his PC for over 2 weeks and has asked me to factory reset it back to Win8.1 which I'm in the process of doing.
Thank you very much for all the effort you have put into trying to resolve this issue and I'm sorry I couldn't give you any more time to find the solution.

Regards
Paul

I would clean install Windows 10. Your license is already activated and you have demonstrative proof that the platform is Windows 10 compatible. Prior to installing any COTS, apply all Windows updates.

Good luck.
