I hope I'm in the right place to ask what is the best reasonably priced microphone for use on a desktop or laptop; when I say the best, to show my voice to best advantage. Also need to consider that I'm not greatly computer literate, although good enough, so the simpler to use the better. Thanks!

To speak, basically, recite more accurately and show my voice to best advantage.
USB, I would think.
Headset, preferably, but not essential. No boom.
Not too much, don't have a figure in mind; as little as possible to do the job, obvious though that may be.

You may want to turn off/mute speakers to prevent feed back and or echo, which is why I suggest a headset.
