best e-ink tablet/e-note 13"

hi,
i think i can find here people who have these devices and who could give me advice.

I would like to buy a 13-inch e-reader/e-note/e-ink tablet only that from the video reviews I have seen i can't understand fundamental things, such as, for example:
1) can you write by placing your palm on the screen? does the palm create a disturbance? ruin the screen etc?
2) how can you cancel? is it comfortable, fast?
3) while I'm writing what happens when the page ends and you want to turn the page? how fast is the "page turn"?
4) once I create a file, after it is saved, can I later delete a few lines of text or it is seen as an image? i mean: can I work on/ edit a text document I have previously created?
5) how long does the screen last? tends to get scratched/ruined writing for a long time?
6) is it possible to create folders and subfolders for created files?
7) is there a copy and paste function (to a document to another)?
8) you can open multiple tabs and browse them (like on android)?
9) can bookmarks be created in handwritten documents and books?
10) are there any functions to quickly export underlines or notes taken in a book?

I share the philosophy of the remarkable, just writing and reading, no browser, no app etc but, in my opinion, it's too small.
it is not clear if the Boox Max Lumi 2 is the best 13-inch but from what I understand, having other functions, it loses the comparison with the remarkable 2 in some aspects.
so...which is the best 13"? I don't want a smaller device

in the end I would be more interested in an e-notebook, not a tablet: to be able to create digital notebooks; write on digital books, slides etc; reading.
advice? I am therefore interested in the device that has the best functions for writing and reading (13")
thank you

most of your questions are very subjective, that is, ask 5 people those questions and you'll get 5 answers. :)
probably why no-one has responded yet as well.

everyone has their own bias on such things, plus you don't want someone else's bias to push you down a certain path.

this is where some Google research from the manufactures sites themselves, to independent review forum sites, to actually playing with then at good old fashioned bricks and mortar stores will be your friend.

i can't understand this answer.
first of all i have no way to try this kind of devices without buying it.
in my country they are not widespread, so for this I ask online.
1 opinion is better than 0.
5 opinions are better than 1.
then it is normal for reviews to be weighed and compared, as is done for any object? we are in the era of reviews and stars, certainly do not discard 1 object / restaurant / hotel if you find a 1-star review out of hundreds of reviews.

the only thing I could find is a youtuber who made a 1 and a half hour video on the Boox Max Lumi 2 ... and I realized that this is not good (among other things he has a button that you accidentally press while you write it)
however, many of the things I was looking for were not shown.

all other videos and reviews don't show enough and are totally useless.
I certainly don't spend all this money without seeing the object well.

with the information I have found, I suspect that the optimal 13-inch device is not out yet, so perhaps it is better to wait for the next generation.
maybe the BIGME x6 but I could not see many things

I'm not well versed in E-Readers, but as Bruce said, a lot of this is subjective.

1) can you write by placing your palm on the screen? does the palm create a disturbance? ruin the screen etc?
They make gloves for drawing tablets that cover the lower half/two fingers of your hand, you could try one of those to reduce unintentional disturbances from other parts of your hand.

5) how long does the screen last? tends to get scratched/ruined writing for a long time?
You should always be using screen protectors and cases on mobile/handheld devices (or any device that is handled/moved), I recommend a quality Tempered Glass screen protector and a case that has a rigid build with a softer area to absorb any shock of being dropped.

The "Boox Max Lumi 2" is certainly expensive, but the quality is something I couldn't be sure of, looking at Amazon some of the reviews are less than glowing, this might be worth your time to look at.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are quite a few sites I have never heard of giving it okay reviews, I have never heard of these places and can not speak to their credibility.

Since you are unable to test these devices, I would suggest looking for something with a good return period, that way you have a trial period before it is truly 'yours'.

thanks
I always use a case but a screen protector does not affect the writing?

Boox Max Lumi 2 is not good for intensive use.
righty-o then, I'll give you mine.

get an iPad Pro - it's got everything you asked for, is the industry leader, and anything you may want it to do, now and into the future, is achievable via an App.
it doesn't have the e-ink screen, so I don't even consider it

however I cannot understand where you see all this subjectivity.
3-4-6-7-8-9-10 are not. these are all things that no video review shows but that could be shown and a person who owns such a device might know the answer.
2: some pens appear to have an eraser (never seen in action). other devices apparently need to circle an area to delete
1 and 5 are related to the use of the product: these products are made for intensive use, 6-8 hours of writing per day? how long they last?
tell me if smartphones, laptops, tablets do not have duration estimates ...

you'll have to enlighten this novice on e-ink screens I'm afraid.
what can an e-ink screen do that a LCD can't?

yes I know e-ink has no backlight, therefore much better battery life, and was what the initial gen of e-readers used - and were generally considered inferior.
at least in the eyes of the commercial marketplace, Kindle Fire being a case in point.
just look at sales of e-ink devices vs LCD devices. it's a niche market.

but, it's always whatever rocks your boat.
if you are only chasing an e-reader, and e-note taker, and are budget constrained, than yep, go for one of those units.
but you probably will then also have another device to do the things that device can't.
whereas, an Apple Air or Pro will do it all in a one stop shop. and no, I'm not an Apple fanboy - hate Macs: overpriced units of sexy looking junk.

I never said ALL your questions were subjective - we are splitting hairs here.
my point is - what one person finds useful, helpful, desirable, whatever - another person may not.
in the end the choice is of course yours.
if it was me, I'd be going to a retail outlet chain, go the the electronics department, and playing with whatever e-ink devices they have in stock. :)

e-ink screens are useful for not straining the eyes and therefore to use these devices for a long time. they also start making screens for the pc (unusable for the moment and very expensive, 3k a normal size screen)

yes, it is a niche market and they are inferior on some aspects but they are unbeatable for their primary function, which is to read and write without straining the eyes.

a digital notebook is practically an infinite notebook and if it were possible to organize files in folders and subfolders, you could have everything at your fingertips: unlimited books and documents in your hands without straining the eyes.

there are two types of these devices: 1) specific devices, sold as "distraction free", without browser, audio, apps etc; 2) devices that, to attract other consumers, also do everything a normal tablet does (even if it makes no sense to watch a video because lag/ low quality...) and perhaps even losing quality in the writing and related functions.

I'm not interested in other functions but, for example, the Remarkable 2 (a specific device and maybe, MAYBE, the best for writing but also old now) exists only in 10 inches; the question of the size is a problem.
they started with small devices to keep prices down but many have begun to ask for 13-inch devices, because it makes no sense to work on a smaller size than an A4 sheet but the market trend seems to be to develop 13-inch devices that are necessarily all-around devices because they are expensive and must attract more consumers so I'm going to have to buy an all-around device even if i don't care about speakers, video etc.

at the moment the 3 best 13-inch devices, maybe, MAYBE, are:
Onyx Book max lumi 2 and Fujitsu A4 notebook (+ $ 900) and the Bigme X6 (+ $ 1000 + perhaps the case); + shipping +taxes.
they cost like the ipad pro but I don't spend all this money if the use doesn't satisfy me. I would spend even more if I found a truly functional device.

if it was me, I'd be going to a retail outlet chain, go the the electronics department, and playing with whatever e-ink devices they have in stock. :)
I'm from Italy... they are not in store here and however I don't think there are any stores in my city where I can play with devices

I always use a case but a screen protector does not affect the writing?
This is why I suggest Tempered Glass on touch devices, I have noticed that it protects excellently and does not affect the feel of them (unlike the cheap plastic covers). It's better to peel off the protector and buy a new one as needed than try to replace the screen of the device.
