So I was researching virus protection software after messing up my PC and realized that for my laptop I would need antivirus software but also antimalware software, I'm leaning towards
Bitdefender Antivirus Plus and Malwarebytes

Has anyone ever used these and would they recommend them or would they recommend something else?

or HERE

Your choice should give you excellent protection, BUT DO NOT run both as realtime malware/antivirus security at the same time. Use one of your choices ONLY as a second opinion scanner. If you are going to pay for and use Bitdefender Plus, then switch off realtime protection in Malwarebytes.

way too subjective a question really, for any unbiased opinions.
best bet is to head over to independent review sites and check out their testing.

for example, one such lab for AV software is here; https://www.av-comparatives.org/tests/real-world-protection-test-february-june-2018/

Much appreciated guys, thank you for your help again
