Battery issue

Depends what the back up stuff is, if personal data like pictures, videos and music files then yes but Windows should always be on it`s own partition away from personal data so as to avoid corruption, it not only protects Windows but also makes it easier to back up and/or reinstall.
 
I wish i had some time to get it fixed but my bike tire broke earlier this week so im looking into getting that fixed untill i get that fixed im gonna be just having my pc plugged in while using it. i will update you when i get the battery
 
no worries.
just means you have to stay near a power source for the time being. :)

also, on top of what Phillpower2 has already said, when getting a new battery, also check its manufactured date.
a new battery, still in its packaging, never been used but was made 2 years ago will be crap.
the lithium in them starts to oxidise as soon as they are put together and that's what makes them not hold charge for as long as they used to when freshly minted.

I'll close this for now as the new unit could take a while.
