Hi, I just got note 8 tablet gt n5110 version in a cheap price. The one problem I am facing is the screen rotation doesn't work. I can rotate it forcefully through app, but the system auto rotation doesn't seem to be working, what is the reason for this?

Also about the battery, how long is it supposed to last and what is the time it takes to charge it to full from 0?

Thanks.

Hello

On the reviews i have read it gets good overall reviews but the battery could be better. On the rotation issue maybe a factory reset may work..
Hopefully some more members will chime in..

I did a hard reset but the rotation issue did not solve. battery charged to full in about 2 hours 10 minutes or so. I found that battery lasted me about 5-6 hours, but I have not checked exactly. Not much difference in the battery drain while reading a document or watching a youtube video which I found strange since watching a video should have drained faster and reading a document should have drained slower.

What version of Android?

The cause could be form this Application.

Was this a second hand device or a sale price from a store. If second had did the do a factory restore on the device before giving it to you?

Is rotation on or off?
There are two places to look
Pull down from the top of the screen to bring up the menu. May have to scroll through to find Auto Rotate
Another way is to select the Setting and find and select Accessibility and turn on Auto Rotate Screen there.

Hi, it was a sale, they did factory reset before giving to me. The screen rotation was on but did not work, and I tried to turn it on from the settings as well, but didn't work, it stayed at portrait mode.
I installed the app later myself since I needed landscape mode.

There was one other issue as well, the battery used to drain 2-3% at once, and it went down to 1% within 30-40 mins, then it lasted few hours in 1%. I solved this by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Do not worry about it.

Was the screen rotation working properly at any time?

Have you looked at the Samsung site?

Have also read a few places that "Google Now" interferes with the screen rotation.
You have to turn it off or disable it. Then restart the device and see if that fixes it.

I have no idea if screen rotation was working before I got it or not.
there is no google now in my samsung mobile. the software updates are enabled.

i have no idea how to use accelerometer. on one app, x and z moved while Y stayed constant.
How much does it take to replace accelerometer if I were to replace it? I am talking about average price.

Here in the United States would probably be cheaper to get new then have it replaced.
ohh, I guess it is a no go then. I will try to check how much it costs here, if it is too expensive, then force rotating with app is still okay since I usually use it in landscape mode.
Thank you. This can be marked solved I think.
