Solved Air mouse dongle?

Would someone be good enough to explain what the purpose of the dongle which came with my Weechip air mouse.?Plus if they could help me set it up I would appreciate it thanks

Really appreciate your reply, although the instructions are hopeless (No CD just a sheet of poor grammer) I did eventually gather it had to be placed as you say,as soon as that is done air mouse is up and running with no set up required.Plus a quick IR set up for shutting down and all is well with the world....so once again many thanks. Can be marked up as solved!
