How do you make Windows 7 start up like Vista?

In the past my computer failed to start or even boot from disc. I had to take it to the PC doctor and they found out the Windows start files had been corrupted. So they installed new ones... which appeared to be Vista ones. The thing is - My computer starts up faster now with the new files. I am very curious to know how it happens.

Which brings me to the question... how can I do this myself? Im planning to do a fresh Windows 7 install but I don't want to give away the tiny bit faster start up, as silly as it is!

do you have a HDD or SSD?
they may have changed to drive boot type from IDE to AHCI.

what makes you think they are Vista?

any reason why you wouldn't take the opportunity to go to Windows 10?
