Also when you set the BIOS you set it as
  1. Depending on your board, do one of the following: Go to the Configuration > SATA Drives menu, set Configure SATA to IDE. Go to the Advanced > Drive Configuration menu, set ATA/IDE Mode to Native.

I had someone send me another copy of Win Xp that they say they know is good. I am uninstalling the one I have and going to try this one and see if the luck is any better. If not, then I am at a loss. I can't find my thumbdrive, so I will need to get another. But I may just try what you have here with another blank cd. I hate to keep using them, but my primary objective at this point is just to get this PC working.

I don't think I have done this. So I will try it too.

Instead of him looking at it Can he download the files to a usb and loan it to you
Between graduate school and work I just didn't have the time to keep working on it. I took it to the PC shop and he was able to get it going. It is working now. I appreciate all your time and help. I made a small donation (not near worth what you put into my issue) as a token of gratitude.

Thanks for all your effort.

I don't suppose he said what it was ?
I am thinking corrupt download Would be nice to know in-case some one else needs help, but if he did not say

I am sure they will be happy.
I am sorry I could not get you going,

Cheers

Thought you were part of the site so the donation would help. Sorry if I misunderstood. But nah all he said was he had to find very specific drivers and he was able to find them. Not sure where because I tried anything and everything.

You did the right thing with your donation - It helps the site to keep running - The helpers do it for free. So your Donation is very much appreciated.

That's why I am convinced it was a download/burn to disc issue.
The main thing is you are going.
