1 Supercomputer out of a few junk ones

I have a friend that just recently showed me his computer setup. He took three laptops and connected them together to form one "super" computer. I wanted to know how one might go about this? What I would like to do is connect my MSI ge apache to one or two other, less powerful computers to increase power, but be able to disconnect the laptop so I can, well, use it as a laptop. I plan on playing games on these computer(s).

Is this possible, can someone explain to me how to do it, in simplest terms. Thanks.

No...you can't connect 3 laptops as one.

Well...Yes you can but you have to open all the laptops and hard wire them in some fashion which is **** near impossible unless your an engineer of some kind. Or, you use some sort of software that can combine the use of a bunch of computers like SETA or that Folding software or Coin Bit Mining. Which I have no idea what the cost would be on something like that.
