Boot problems on dell latitude e6230 laptop

Hey guys, been trying to fix this for months now.

I updated my laptop (dell latitude e6230) a while ago on windows 10 and on startup it crashed. I then found that the PC wouldn't boot again to homescreen. This would have been fine but when I went to the auto repair feature that also got stuck on the loading screen. I then somehow navigated to the factory restore page but when I clicked on any of the buttons such as the factory restore or command prompt it came up with an error. I've already tried reinstalling the OS on a USB and it just doesn't work. I've run out of ideas

so this all started happening way back when you first upgraded to Win10?
if yes, then I'd rule out faulty hardware.
but if Win10 has been working for a while, and now has gone pear shaped, then perhaps the drive has gone tits-up.

have you tried reinstalling Win7 or 8 or whatever it came with from a USB image?
perhaps the PC is not compatible with Win10 on some level? like it has an SSD that doesn't like the 1803 current build (like my Intel 600P !!!)
what build of Win10 are you trying?

Nah I had already been using win10 for ages, it was just an update I believe. I don't think it wasn't compatible because it did boot, but about 30 seconds in, it froze and crashed and has been broken since then. Usually I'd just factory restore but even that doesnt work

maybe get Win10 1709 build as an ISO and make a bootable USB stick from that.
there was an imcompatibility list I found on some MS website which had my Intel 600P NVMe SSD listed which stopped my installing 1803.
so I just imaged the system to a new SSD (gotta love Macrium) and moved forward with 1803 anyway until Intel or MS bring out a fix.
