Built a New PC, No idea how to install an operating system

I have recently built a gaming PC but I am now in a situation where I have no idea how to make the thing work with an operating system. I can get as far as the BIOS menu. I do have an old Windows 7 key that I want to try, idk if it will work or not. How do I get to where I can put a key in? Also, I have no disc drive and my 2 usb slots are used for my mouse and keyboard, so I am not sure I can use those.

Is there any way for me to get windows 7 on my new pc?

OK, let's backtrack at bit here...
you just built a gaming Pc but it has only 2 USB ports and no CD unit?
first question, where are the games going to coming from? online?
when you say only 2 USB's, do you just mean on the front, or that's on the back plate?
where is this Win7 key, on the case or CD sleeve?
as to an OS, since you have a Win7 key, you'll need internet access and you could download an ISO image of Win7 from MS.
but you'll need a CD drive to burn it to, or unplug the keyboard and burn it to a USB stick.
you could also download a free Linux distro.

Some confusion here perhaps plodr!

Microsoft have since changed their stance since that original article and it was not that Windows 7 cannot be installed on a computer with a Skylake processor it is that Microsoft originally intended to stop releasing security updates for computers running Windows 7 on Intel Skylake platform computers before the end of life support for Windows 7 itself, updated article here

Well if it can't be updated - there were problems in September or October, what is the point of trying to install a version of Windows that can not be patched? To me, that is asking to be infected.

@plodr, You CAN indeed install Windows 7 on Kaby Lake and Ryzen systems. The computer will work just fine and you will be able to install all the Windows Updates as well but it DOES require an unofficial workaround because Microsoft is blocking users who have a Kaby Lake or a Ryzen CPU from installing Windows Updates.

That's good news, Evan, that windows7 can be installed with Kaby Lake.
Read so many posts that says you can't.
I have been wanting to build a new computer with a AMD Ryzen 5 1600X processor, and Windows7.
Now nothing stopping me.
Thanks for providing proof.
