Solved Windows 10 ISO

I have Linux Mint installed. Iam trying to get Windows 10 ISO on a USB with no luck at all. I have tried several different ways. Windows with Windows Creation Tool, Unibootin, Pendrive, Rufus no luck.
I have 8GB USB formated to fat32. Thank,s Linux newbie Chuck

If the target system(s) for the Win10 install thumb drive are UEFI based, simply extract the ISO to a folder and then copy the folder contents to the thumb.

Also note, the attached image conflicts with your implied goal. The error refers to a single file failing to copy, as if you are attempting to copy the Win10 ISO directly to the thumb drive. This will not create a bootable thumb.

Antman can you give me step by step info how to do this iam a Linux Mint newbie ?
This info might help you, your exactly right it is UEFI based and i did try to download the ISO to my USB. Iam lost on this. I do need Windows at times. Thank,s Chuck

Some distributions may provide software so you can extract via the right click menu. Find your .ISO image, right click and look for the Extract Here option. Navigate to desired folder/drive.

No. Nothing on the USB drive and put the Windows 10 ISO file on the HDD where you can remember where it is. Desktop be the best place. Then you can move it someplace safe should you ever need it again.

The attached image looks correct so if you created the USB then test it see if it boots.

The creation tool is a windows base program and will not run in Linux.

Thought that you did not like Windows 10 and wanted to get away form it and was planning on just using Linux?
