I used to have a very small rectangular box at the lower right of my Windows 11 screen. I could always click it and it would take me back to my desktop, no matter where I was . That little box is gone. Any suggestions, Thanks, Mike

You can hit the Windows Key + D to show the desktop. (My Favorite) Or

  1. Open the taskbar settings by right-clicking an empty area of the taskbar and selecting Taskbar settings.

  2. Expand the Taskbar behaviors section at the bottom.

  3. Put a check in the box next to Select the far corner of the taskbar to show the desktop.

You'll notice if you put your mouse all the way to the right, you should see a line appear.

I use either method about 50/50.
Sometimes you are in 'mouse mode' and don't want to break concentration of looking at the keyboard and getting your fingers aligned with Win + D.

Other times I'm typing in Word, so hitting the keyboard combo is easier - horses for courses!
