Solved unexpected account registration error in google hangouts
Sorry, I was away a week. I did an uninstall of both hangouts and the dialer. Then I re-installed hangouts and it asked me to update to the latest version. I couldn't find a way around that so I did it and re-installed the dialer and now it works! Thank you for all the suggestions/help. -

Thank you for your reply. I did find this post earlier and tried what was suggested but it did not work for me. I also found another about going back to a previous version which I tried but got the message that it would not install. I have the latest version. ugh. Yes, that is the problem. -

I have been reading thru the help forums for this one. Have uninstalled, installed, cleared cache and data nothing has worked. I have a Moto e phone running Android 4.4.4 Any help appreciated. Works fine on my laptop.
