EDIT: Unless you have a different source for those older drivers, I downloaded it from here, and it said there was "no compatible hardware" for the installation process. --------------------------------------- That link worked, but the download button that page didn't. 1. Oops, since I've recently reinstalled Windows I have not reinstalled updated chipset drivers. Prior to this recent Windows reinstall, I DID have updated chipset drivers. But then I NukenBoot'd my HD to start fresh. 2. Nvidia drivers - 497.29- droscoe

As I mentioned, I tested individual memory sticks, different slots. This issue is happening after already reinstalling Windows fresh. Once I had done that, the issue went away. @veeg Yes I did replace the PSU, bought a brand new EVGA psu. @PeterOz That's very strange...yes I did get my BIOS update from that. Version 5.8 WAS dated 6/19/19 but...is now on their site dated 7/3/19? Temps Idle (when crashes mostly happen) - 35-40c I did find something from Google hunting...- droscoe

It was marked as resolved back in April, with the remote server-side update. So, since I'm still having daily/hourly freezes and restarts, it doesn't seem to have been related to my issue. But thank you for sharing.- droscoe

This has been months of dealing with this and I've had enough. I've narrowed it down to either a problem with Win10 or mobo. I updated my Asrock BIOS to the most recent version (that my CPU/chipset supports). I chose the BIOS update that was specifically mentioned for Summit Ridge...- droscoe

I'm looking at Speccy and I'm confused as to why it says my DRAM Frequency is 1064.1 MHz? I have in my BIOS loaded up XMP profile for DDR-2400, so shouldn't Speccy say around 2400MHz?- droscoe

I just finished a 2 hour stint of playing Doom Eternal, which was impossible before. It did just freeze/crash on me though after a couple hours. Is this just a coincidence? Would power/current from a wall socket in an old building be unreliable and cause a PSU to lose power for a split second...- droscoe

The other interesting thing here that I think is important...occasionally my system will SOUND like it wants to crash, but it doesn't. I'll hear the sound stutter for half a a second, but it will continue on and be alright. It just happened to me a few minutes ago. The whole system won't freeze...- droscoe
