    I installed the new mobo and system powered up fine, I’ve been restarting it and hammering it as hard as I can to see if I can recreate the failure. So far all signs point to a bad mobo.

    I will certainly check the memory today. I did a quick look and finding a mobo That’s not used with the correct chipset for a 6 series cpu is gonna be “fun”.

    I don’t have any spare parts. So unfortunetly I have to take an educated gamble. I’m not rich but I’d rather gamble 100 on a PSU than 500+ on a vid card. you say board do you mean mobo?
