    would having older bios be an issue, also it does work every now and then and when it does work it works perfectly fine. also i'm not too comfortable with the BIOS, i'll get a technician round, see what he has to say, and then report back to you , thanks for the help! have a good rest of they day

    yes, it must be somethingn related to the cpu though no? otherwise why would the CPU light come on and stay on and not one of the others?

    ok i've done the ram and it still doesn't work. It is the cpu light that stays on when it doesn't post. When it does post they all come on but only for a second or so. By the way i didn't manage to do the cpu fan because i din't 'have any thermal paste which i thought i did.

    yes, and after that it worked, forgot to mention it works spontaneously, like yesterday it was working, but now it isn't

    hi my cpu debug lights shows and pc doesn’t post. last time this happened i solved it with help from someone on this website. the cause was i had put my ram speed too high. this time i haven’t touched the bios and it just isn’t working again. specs ryzen 53600 msi b450m mortar max 16gb...
