Solved Windows explorer slower than molasses in the middle of January

They were .webp files. They were pictures I copied from a listing of one of my instruments from the reverb app that I was sending to my PC from my phone via email. Three of the ten came up as .webp instead of .jpg

Solved Windows explorer slower than molasses in the middle of January

Sorry it took so long to reply, been swamped with other work. So apparently it was a few specific files that I was trying to work with that were causing it to slow down when I would try to work with them specifically. I deleted them and now I have no more issues... extremely weird...

Solved Windows explorer slower than molasses in the middle of January

Clean boot seems to have corrected the issue. So this is the part where I get to try each and every item one at a time until it acts up? Gonna have to clear my schedule...

Solved Windows explorer slower than molasses in the middle of January

Clean boot? Explain? You mean a clean install of Windows? I'm sure THAT would fix the problem - and I'd usually just do that, but I don't want to do that until all else has been exhausted.

Solved Windows explorer slower than molasses in the middle of January

Got a nasty BSOD. First time I tried to run it it crashed when it ran. Second time I ran it as administrator and got a BSOD.

Solved Windows explorer slower than molasses in the middle of January

Hello! Been a long time since I've needed the wisdom of my fellow PC enthusiasts! Tried searching and didn't come up with anything useful other than the methods I already tried. Speccy for those who know what to do with it: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/tG75cwSF7KZdz1gGBghYPWA The issue...

    Solved X99 Freezes and Restarts

Unfortunately only my internal hard drive gave me SMART Values. Well either way mark this sucker solved. Going on a week with no issues. Gonna try the suspect drive in another rig eventually and we'll see if it gives me the same issues - if it does, I'll chuck it :cry: Thanks for your...

    Solved X99 Freezes and Restarts

Yes, I'm not sure how but it seems to be that the issue was the Samsung 950 Pro 512 GB M.2. My system is working great on my Mushkin Helix 256 GB M.2.. Really odd failure... Any thoughts? Mind you the Samsung drive did the same thing before and after a clean install.

    Solved X99 Freezes and Restarts

Update: Having felt confident after a day of gaming that my issue was solved, I overclocked all my hardware and reinstalled my original RAM. Boy was my rig unhappy with that. It would barely run for a minute before it would restart on it's own. So today I tried a fresh install of windows on a...

    Solved X99 Freezes and Restarts

I changed out the power supply with a Corsair CX750m I had laying around. So far so good. I would like to give it a few days before I say it’s solved.

    Solved X99 Freezes and Restarts

I know double posting is frowned upon but I wanted to update you guys on this. I updated to Nvidia's newest driver package yesterday. I was running Warframe again today with everything at stock clocks and HWMonitor running in the background and it froze again but it recovered and continued as...

Solved CPU Ez Debug Light - No HDMI Signal

So, MSI's site is currently down, but I'm fairly certain that RAM is supported with that CPU/Motherboard combo. I remember because I was trying to run that RAM on my MSI X470 Motherboard with a 2600x and I saw that it wasn't supported but that it was supported with the 3000 series processors I...

Solved CPU Ez Debug Light - No HDMI Signal

The RM series PSU's are designed to do that. It's a silent operation mode, the fan only turns on when it is needed. I personally am typing you this message from a unit with a RM1000 that also used to have a RM850. Both had the same operation. Very good PSUs if you ask me. Side note, that CPU...

Unpartitioned New 3TB HDD (Please Help!)

So, I'm gonna guess that the drive formatted as a "MBR" disk. This would explain why you can only format that much of it. In order to make use of the rest of the space you will need to format it as a "GPT" disk. To find out if it's a "MBR" disk you'll want to right click on the drive in the...
