Solved Strange Internet Issue, Windows 10

Thanks for all of the help. I did not know that stuff about antivirus; for years I have got a crazy good deal on unlimited licenses so I could cover all my stuff, and family too. Guess I'll reconsider that. MT

Solved Strange Internet Issue, Windows 10

Ok, I'll try clearing all that junk out. This am I went in and he had a total of two extensions, one of which was something from Adobe. I don't recall the other one. I disabled them both, re-booted, and it still wouldn't go to Kaiser but worked on CBS News. Then just now we get Kaiser just fine...

Solved Strange Internet Issue, Windows 10

It's Google Chrome. I'll try disabling extensions. I haven't tried other browsers. The facility always claims that nobody else is having the issue. MT

Solved Strange Internet Issue, Windows 10

All - my Dad lives in an assisted living facility and has wireless internet to his desktop PC. An issue that came up a few months ago has popped up again; everything works except he gets error messages when he tries to go to his Kaiser health account, or CBS news. Last time, it resolved itself...

Solved Anybody know where HP keeps their RAM QVL?

Bruce - just now solved it...I had to swap the SFF mobo back in and use the single rank sticks that Crucial specifies on their memory finder. On the Crucial 8GB sticks for this system, only single rank sticks will work. I see the single rank sticks have chips on one side of the PCB only, but...

Solved Anybody know where HP keeps their RAM QVL?

PeterOz - I don't think so, but update; it turns out that although I ordered the modules that Crucial specified for this PC, the eBay seller sent me modules with one digit of the P/N different...I got dual rank modules, which Crucial told me today is NOT compatible with my PC. Crucial says...

Solved Anybody know where HP keeps their RAM QVL?

Yes, I'm looking for the OEM P/N. It looks like G1 uses a different BIOS. Prolly a different chipset. I can't believe the money for this PC is down the drain. MT

Solved Anybody know where HP keeps their RAM QVL?

I may be missing it, but those are just general specs. That's normally good enough in most boxes, but apparently not this one. I need the specific manuf. P/Ns, ie, the Crucial P/N, Hynix, etc.

Solved Anybody know where HP keeps their RAM QVL?

All - does anybody know where I can find the qualified RAM list for the Elitedesk 800 G2. Apologies to Bruce on my 'RAM Confusion' thread. I did not get the e-mail notification that you asked about it. I went on the HP support forum and the guy insists it's non-qualified RAM that's causing the...

RAM Confusion, HP Elitedesk 800 G2 Tower

Thanks, Bruce. Well, I did locate the P/N of the Kingston 8GB sticks that were in the PC when I bought it, and they worked, and are now working in my Dad's SFF version of this same model. So if I was confident that it's just a module compatibility issue, I'd go buy those. But the fact that after...
