    Thanx for that masterful response 😁 That's that done. A new problem has arisen, the CPU power cables are in the way of the AIO radiator I wanted to mount to the top of the Corsair Obsidian 650D case.

    Solved Smoking GPU

    On further inspection of the graphics card, a small section of the rubber sleeve covering the fan header cable has melted, it was touching part of the PCB. Explains the smoke billowing out of the rear end of the card, but what could have done this?
