    Stuttering problem

Windows 11 seems to 90% fix the problem. It appears to be a known issue, but since it has to do with a combination of Intel, Nvidia, the Laptop Manufacturer, and Microsoft, everyone has been saying "not my problem" for years. It happens when a laptop of a specific brand (Lenovo, MSI, others) has...

    Stuttering problem

People have been having an almost identical problem for many many years. The two forum posts I found were on Intel and Nvidia websites. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/257428/laptop-1070-external-monitor-stutter/...

    Stuttering problem

I cannot alter the refresh rate of the second monitor there is only one option. Changing the refresh rate of my laptop monitor does not affect anything. If it helps, the stuttering is very bad and noticeable. It is not micro-stutter

Extend will also not cause the problem. I can slide spinning graphics from one monitor to the other, no stutter. It seems it can only happen if my laptop screen is off in some way

    Stuttering problem

Alright, I now have the NEW laptop. Same make, model, etc. I turn it on, and did absolutely nothing except change options in power settings "When lid is closed: Do Nothing" The issue is still there. As always, once the issue stops it SEEMS random as to when it will occur again -I have tried 2...

    Stuttering problem

I will return the computer and get the same make/model. When looking up the make/model of the laptop I dont see this problem, so I should be okay getting the same computer right? If the new computer has the same problem, I can revisit this thread and make a new post?

    Stuttering problem

Me: But does that really cause that much of a difference? I'm only going from 1900x1080 (laptop) to 1900x1200 by switching to the monitor... maybe he is wrong? And plus, closing the laptop lid, and then changing the resolution of the monitor to 1900x1080 does NOT fix the problem. Yet opening...

    Stuttering problem

Update #2: Progress! It seems like I can make the problem go away (or 95% go away) if I OPEN THE LID of the laptop (looking at both the laptop screen and my monitor screen, both are able to play games fine). If I close the lid, the problem comes back as soon as the monitor readjusts. This...

    Stuttering problem

Its happening again right now. I know if I restart it will fix the problem but I wanted to find out if there was anything else I should do first. I checked my task manager I do not see ANYTHING that is consuming a significant amount of resources.

    Stuttering problem

Hello everyone, Let me start off by saying I don't know much about computers. I bought a new gaming laptop a few days ago, the MSI Katana GF66 and was promised it could play games like Smite very well. I took it home and was having no problems, everything was beautiful and smooth, then shut...
