    Thanks for the reply. I thought this to be the case but have used this PSU for 4-5 years or so paired with the i7 and 1080 with no issues up until this point but I'll lean towards this as it seems to be a common suggestion thank you.

    The PC also doesn't register any input from devices. For example the caps lock indicator on my keyboard doesn't register I'm pressing caps lock.

    Another thing to help is that when it freezes and i turn it off via holding the power button when i turn it on, the PC will come on for a split second then go straight off and come back on in an infinite loop until i turn the PC off by the wall

    I thought it could be PSU related but unfortunately the only other psu i have is non module and doesn't support 2 pcie 8pin connectors would this be the first thing to point towards?

    I have rules out all forms of potential software errors. It all started when my PC hard locked up one day about 2 weeks ago. In a struggle to find what was the cause i took all cables out and plugged them back in which appeared to have somewhat fixed it. But the a few days ago it happened again...
