    nevermind, just fixed by plugging it into an old laptop then plugging it back into my main laptop

    thanks for the video though I think I should have elaborated a bit more sorry. I've been using this hard drive for a few months now but just today it has seemed to have just stopped working, it doesn't even show up on disk management

    when I plug my external hard drive into my laptop it doesn't appear in files, though it does appear on the taskbar after a few moments it disappears
