    From the boot up menue I also tried booting into safe mode with a command promt but once again just came back to login screen Also tried repair my pc from.drop down menue but it require password to continue

    Ok so I've managed to get the pc to boot to the login screen, however I can't remember the password. Pc won't boot into safe mode, just comes back to login screen, so downloaded vista password recovery software to use sick and tried rebooting from that however get message saying missing...

    So I got my replacement graphics card, installed it but still no joy pc appears to be booting up but no images on the monitor. Any other suggestions as to what the problem is. Any help would be most welcomed

    Thankyou for your response, yes same thing happens when I put it back in. Got a replacement card coming soon, so hopefully will cure the problem. Will keep you posted. Thanks again for your response most helpful
