Solved I'm trying to install and partition this drive to my pc. Getting i/o error, even with confirmed functional SATA cables.
This is what im getting so far. I also noticed the drive beeps when turning on the pc. Im thinking its a head crash from the hard drive.- Grayehz

hey so this is a seagate baracude 1000gb 7200rpm drive Model# st1000dm003. So i used a sata cable which i confirmed is working on another drive. The hard drive appears in disk management and device manager but does not in the bios. when i try and initialize i get an i/o device error any idea...- Grayehz
