    i always used to be an Asus 'fan'.. and never had a problem really.. but i think the darkside sent me to gigabyte.. and I quite liked them..but now digging deep..seems voltages on the Giga mobo are higher than Asus... not a lot.. but maybe spikes mite kill em... probably just a conspiracy...

    avg internet. done its job for the last x number of years.. its a long way from the first computer i worked on...it was as big as a house and had a massive 256k or 512k of memory and ran an operating system called george ..... ICLl computers in 1976 :-)

    Done all above... ran for 29 mins in the evening then hung..... seems like a communication fault between southbridge and any onboard chip. Ran program HWiNFO64 that looks at voltages all over the motherboard and instantly hangs. Fortunately... a pal has a brand new msi 1150 board that hes...

    thanks for reply.. tried all different combo's reinstalling all drivers, different gfx card.. even a new windows install on a spare ssd. beginning to think its a mobo southbridge issue./ capacitor issue. Have a 1150 board being given to me tommorow so ill rebuild.

    ok.. update Still failing but working in safe mode with netwqrk support. changed power supply thinking it mite be faulty rail.. still fails changed gfx card.. still fails. run memtest86 all mem seems ok... used 1 stick at a time. heres the log from minitoolbox MiniToolBox by Farbar...
