    Thanks for your interest in helping. I have rectified the problem. It was quite simple really - I had inadvertently set some folders to "read only" and assume that the program would not run due to that. All OK now.

    Update : I entered an incorrect path name - it was C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration\WinFileCache-3012BA81.dat

    I have ended up with errors. I use Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and encountered a common problem which involved deleting a file "WinFileCache-3012BA81.dat" from c: program files / adobe / adobe dreamweaver CS4 / en_US / Configuration - which is something I have done before and it worked OK.
