    Graphics card help

I think your PSU is capable of powering your GPU. 300-350 PSU is min required. What is the configuration of your RAM? 2gb*3? Was it upgraded recently?

Solved CPU thermal throttle issue on my i5 6600k.

I know right. It would have fried my CPU in the worst case. Being a builder and charging money ($40) for just assembling the part they should be more careful. CS Go is the only game that I play and I think it doesn't take much of anything.. Maybe it is the graphics card which is bottlenecking...

Solved CPU thermal throttle issue on my i5 6600k.

Hello Guys, Thank you all for helping me out. I figured out the exact issue with my temps reaching 100°.. 1. When I checked the AIO orientation/positioning, it was mounted like this: <<airflow<<Back Fan 140*1 <<airflow<< Motherboard ??airflow?? Radiator fan>>airflow>>Radiator>><<airflow<<Front...

If no matter how powerful your psu/smps is, unless it is lower than required by the card, it should work. I would suggest upgrading your system before buying a card.

Solved CPU thermal throttle issue on my i5 6600k.

AIO is over 4 years now. And I have RPM readings on HW Monitor. So I guess it is working. Only option for me is to wait for the paste to arrive and check if it's solving the problem. I wanted to know if there are any optimizations that I need to perform while I wait for the Thermal Paste?

I would suggest take your tower to your friend's place and check if it is working on his monitor. Also try the cable which he uses. Finally as I suggested in the beginning, set the right res. and framerate on the card and try.

I am not an expert. Maybe you should wait for some experts to comment on this thread, I was just trying to give you some input based on my experience. I would strongly suggest you to try some different cable and input port to begin with. Also try it on a different monitor/display.

Solved CPU thermal throttle issue on my i5 6600k.

"while the stock fan and heatsink are usually more than adequate, it looks like they aren't for you. has this only just started happening?" I am not sure about how long it was going on for. As I don't usually check my pc stats. Only recently when I upgraded my RAM and was checking its...

Solved CPU thermal throttle issue on my i5 6600k.

My i5 6600k temp idles around 44° C to 49° C and with load (playing game-cs go, using video editing tool-filmora) it shoots to 100° C within 30 seconds. Also when I did a stress test with intel extreme tuning utility same thing 30 seconds into the test it shoots to 100°C. Also my CPU usage idles...

Strange display issue with new RAM?

Check the compatibility of the memory stick on the motherboard QVL page with exact model: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/H110M-PRO-VD-PLUS-#support-mem-4. You will get to know if it is supported and if it does then you need to check if it supports dual channel or single channel on the...

    Graphics card help

Sometimes.. I had the same issue when I bought my previous graphics card from a friend. He had a 1080p res @120hz. and mine at that time was a lower res and 60hz. We tried fixing it back to his system and change the res. to my specs and it worked. It was a DVI cable that I was using to connect...

    Graphics card help

Is the new hardware being detected by the system, then the issue might be with the cable (HDMI/DP-however you are trying to connect). if the cable is working fine then check how or which port was used by your friend to connect to the monitor. Also maybe as in many cases of used graphics card...
