Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I mean this thread. I just saw that the other one is already closed.

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

None taken :) Well, then if there's nothing else to do to find the source of the problem, as well as WiFi working fine, at least until now, I guess we can close both posts.

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I'm not just browsing internet, I'm also using my files while working on my laptop, so if I can't use them because they are encrypted, I can't work in Linux. I can test my mouse only at the moment when I turn on my laptop, that is, when I get to the window where it demands the usual 4 digit...

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I'm not sure how bit locker works, at least I have never used or installed it. As to the WiFi, to be able to test it, it takes time, because previously it disconnected maybe once per day and as Linux doesn't properly function on my laptop, I can't work using it. So I'm not sure how else I can...

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I got to the part On This Computer in Ubuntu where 3 options appear: Computer 487 GB Encrypted RESTORE I cannot open 487 GB Encrypted because I don't know what password is needed, I tried the 4 digit laptop login password but it doesn't work. Also, while trying to boot from USB stick, if I...

    WiFi disconnecting occasionally

Well, unfortunately it happened again yesterday, though everything was ok today.

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

Thank you for the instructions. As I have never done it before, I'd like to know if there is a risk of losing any data because I don't have an empty external hard drive right now and I don't want to save any data on my Microsoft account/cloud?

    WiFi disconnecting occasionally

Thank you, I did it, so is there anything else I should do?

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

After testing another mouse, I see that it's working fine, but I remember that the one which has a connectivity problem was working fine for a long time before the problems appeared. I also observed that now it doesn't work when I insert it in the initial USB port, so I have to reinsert it. I...

    WiFi disconnecting occasionally

Thank you. At this point I'm just not sure if I have to choose Quad9 Security or No Security in DNS Jumper.

    WiFi disconnecting occasionally

I got to the part Find the best dns server for your machine and wanted to make sure if I have to also proceed with How to change your DNS server with command prompt page because these instructions are a bit hard for me to understand. If so, is it possible to avoid Google DNS as alternate DNS...

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

Thank you, I see what you're saying, it's just that I've never had a laptop doing this, filling up space on its own like that, it really started when I got the virus aat that time. But yeah, it's not a serious problem, I can live with that ;) I'm still testing the mouse, so I'll keep you...

    WiFi disconnecting occasionally

I reset the Wifi network and ran MiniToolBox, see the log below. I'll test if it it's working as it should in the next few days. MiniToolBox by Farbar Version: 13-05-2022 Ran by acco5 (administrator) on 05-11-2023 at 20:14:27 Running from "C:\Users\acco5\Desktop" Microsoft Windows 10 Home (X64)...

    WiFi disconnecting occasionally

I don't think so, the problem with the mouse started way before the WiFi problem. Actually, since I'm posting on this forum, the connection seems to have gone back more or less to normal again, I had to enable and disable it in Settings just a couple of times.

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I'll try another mouse, but it may take some time to test it, because right now my current mouse is working approx. 8 times out of 10. I don't think I got reinfected because I got this problem before the repair, it didn't go away during the repair and has remained since. The person that fixed...
