    Inexplicable Crashes and Restarts

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/cougar-cmx-1000w-80plus-bronze-modular-power-supply-ab51778 A friend recommended this. It's a 1000w but he said it wouldn't be a danger and would allow the machine to draw on extra power. That's my wording, not his. He's studying IT at uni so I'm inclined to...

Cheers. If my voltage levels have been low etc, should I get a more powerful supply unit? My current one is 750W. Would getting a more powerful one just fry my hardware?

Definitely still crashing and remaining off for anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour or so. So you recommend a new power unit? PSU? Any particular makes or models you might recommend?

Figured out how to update the bios so I think that's done properly.

Just checked the bios. It says MS-7917 Version: 1.2 but the number on the actual hardware says v1.1. I'm assuming that's just the software updating on top of what it had on v1.1. I'm going to see if I can find the updates now.

I did the IP reset. No noticable change. I'm currently waiting for the PC to accept turning on again before I read the bios stuff. It's still crashing and sometimes not turning back on for some time.

Hi, Phil! So I don't know what I can do about TCP connections but I've given the BIOS a go. I followed the link you provided. I can't see the V1.12 you're referring to. There's a 1.1 and after 1.9 it goes to 1.A. I've downloaded the latest release which is 1.D but it only provides a 1D0 file so...

So the computer is a custom built PC. Here are some images of the components I bought and used.

Ran FurMark for about 20 minutes. It sat pretty happy at 71 degrees before I closed the program.

So, I've been using the PC as I normally would since reinstalling Windows. No issues at all. However, just now I've had one of those strange crashes. No blue screen, no warning, nothing I can see that would trigger or explain it :\

I've had trouble sorting an ISO for Windows 10 as the Windows instructions just link me in circles. A friend is coming over tomorrow with a bootable drive and we'll go from there. Thanks for keeping in touch. I really appreciate all the help you guys have given.

So I've run FurMark and it leveled out at about 66 degrees max. Then it shut down. I've also found that some restarts reset many of my settings, both in game and out. In PubG I've had to reset all my personal settings for instance. My audio stop working and I had set up my headset and speakers...

I've run mdsched.exe twice now as instructed but there is no log or report that shows when the computer restarts.
