    Hi. Okay I've sorted Defender out. I now have it enabled and updated as per your screen shot Ive rebooted multiple times since and the elapsed boot time seems to have regressed to when I had 360 installed

    ive checked in Control panel uninstall programs and dont see it ive also checked in revo uninstaller and do not see a outstanding version of 360

    Hí. That has certainly helped speed up the boot times and initialisation at start up. Thanks The other observation is that post boot up it runs at 100% disk usage for quite a few minutes before calming down. Which impedes doing anything else in that period
