    That's bizarre. I saw others mention RealTek in their audio choices but mine says AMD. Either way! I bought the USB adapter and it works AMAZINGLY. I guess something with my ports and the software related aren't working but at least I have an alternative. Thanks for the reply.

    A few things I forgot to mention: I have AMD audio not realtek and I can always hear sound from the headsets so it is just the mic part that has issues.
